Stop Childhood Cancer and Save Homeless Animals
Each year the Oshkosh North High School Ceramics 2 and 3 students are responsible for generating a community benefit through their ceramic art. Last year we raised $836 for the Milwaukee Ronald McDonald House to help support our Oshkosh families with children who need long term care and need to stay with their children during those crucial treatments.
This year; our group of Art students want to support cancer research through the St Baldrick's Research Foundation and the Oshkosh Area Humane Society. The funds raised will fund cancer research to fight childhood cancer as well as supporting our homeless animals to help them find their forever homes.
Oshkosh North High School Art students will be creating and donating over 65 wheel thrown bowls, plates and mugs. All pieces have been fired with glazes that are dishwasher, microwave and dinnerware safe.
The handmade pottery will be sold at the Oshkosh Farmers Market on Saturday June 6th from 8:00-11:30 a.m. (in space 11.2 near Salon Mode).
Each piece will be sold for an $8.00 donation to help us reach our goal; there will also be buckets available for in-kind donations for both benefits and our own art department.
