Ceramics 3: Mural Installation under the spiral staircase
Our ceramic installation concept was developed by Ellie Leafgren. Ceramics 2 & 3 students have created blood cells to represent the potential that runs through our veins as our students represent the blood cells and the hallways represent our veins. The flowers and butterflies represent the growth that is a critical part of the process.
Take some time to stop by and check out our progress and we complete fourth permanent ceramic art installation!

Oshkosh North High School Art Memorial Scholarship is now available!
Our 1st annual Oshkosh North High School Art Memorial Scholarship is now available! Apply now for $500 towards your 4 year or technical college education.
About our Memorial Art Scholarship:
This scholarship has been dedicated to the memory of two men who were very special to ONHS Art teachers Mary Yang and Christina Hyde. Both of these men recently passed in 2015.
David Dix was the father of ONHS Art Teacher Christina Hyde. David was diagnoised with a terminal brain tumor in November 2014 and passed away on April 29th 2015 at the age of 68.
David always supported the Arts and was eager to drive 2 1/2 hours to help with the annual Raku firings at Oshkosh North High School. He loved seeing the results of the students work and believed that you should always pursue your passions; then you never have to "work" a day in your life.
Oshkosh North alumnus, Yer Yang, class of 1996, was married 14 years to Mary Yang. In spring of 2013, Yer went through kidney failure and was placed on hemodialysis. Then on Father's Day evening of 2015, Yer unexpectedly suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and passed away on June 30th. He was only 37 years old.
A natural in the fine arts, Yer was gifted with the ability to draw and paint just about anything. His favorite subject to paint were Bob Ross-styled landscapes of dreamy skies and crisp mountain ranges with cabins and little happy trees. In addition, Yer was also a self-taught guitar player and often times led praise and worship sessions at his local church. Throughout his life, Yer used the arts to explore his passions, visually and spiritually.
We hope that our Oshkosh North students will be able to pursue their passions with the financial support of this Art Memorial Scholarship.
Art teachers Christina Hyde & Mary Yang will be proud to award this to one of our Oshkosh North High School graduates in the Spring 2017.
